Jason and Jaye's
105 Steps to Making a Movie

1 - Create a Brand: "Before you even think of making a movie, you need an image. After all, what are you going to say when someone asks you 'Who are you?' and make it sound BIG, like we did." - Jason Rosa

2 - Create a Slogan: "It has to be catchy, sexy and most of all, look good on your website." - Jason Rosa

3 - Make a Company Website: "Even more important than the actors in your film, your website is the face of your company and ultimately your movie." - Jason Rosa
"Although I hate to disagree with Jason. The face of your company and your movie, is the face of your actor, especially their eyes." - Jaye Wolfgang
"Okay Jaye, but we didn't get the funding for Travel Canada and Invasion Q because of your eyes, we got it because of our slick website." - Jason Rosa

4 - Get Business Cards: "Everything in Hollywood revolves around business cards, they're like an agent burning a hole in someone's pocket. If you're doing your job, then you'll get dozens of cards at every meeting and party in LA, and of course throw them out when you get home. The trick is to put a Denny's coupon on the back so they don't throw your card out." - Jason Rosa

5 - Learn The Lingo: "The 'Biz' as it's called, has a lot of very important words that you need to know. Don't forget to throw them into any conversation you are having about movies. Remember, in Hollywood, they're called 'Pictures', not movies." - Jason Rosa
"One of my favorite terms is 'Golden Time', where you are paid in pure gold bars because you are such a big star." -Jaye Wolfgang

6 - Pick A Title: "The most important thing about your movie is the title. It has to say 'this is the best movie ever' in just a few words. The title must be sexy, mysterious, daring, challenging, suspicious, dangerous and a lot of other things. Take 'Invasion Q' for example, it embodies all of those things." - Jaye Wolfgang

7 - Write A Script... for the Trailer: "Nothing says 'this movie is going to rock', like a killer trailer. Make sure you play up the epic grandeur of the film. Don't talk about the plot or acting, or any details really, just make it sound bigger than it really is." - Jason Rosa

8 - Hire The Trailer Voice Guy: "If you don't, your trailer will fall flat." - Jason Rosa
"Unless you are making a foreign art-house picture, in which case you should probably use my voice." - Jaye Wolfgang
